Bell County Football Club would like to announce and welcome Hugo Martinez as our new First Team Head Coach of Bell County FC! Hugo Martinez comes with loads of ambition and playing experience. Martinez played as a Central Midfielder at Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas. In addition, he also played for NAVA United Soccer Academy and as well as the FC Dallas youth academy. After a career-ending ACL injury, Martinez has begun his journey into coaching the sport he loves and is so passion about. Martinez is currently studying Sports Management at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas after transferring from Oral Roberts University while also continuing his coaching education. When asked about his new position and new club Martinez said, “I am excited for this opportunity and ready to help this club and its players. I am looking forward to helping our players improve and achieve success. This team has a lot of young and exciting talent.” President and Club Director Chris Glynn said of newly appointed Martinez, “Hugo is an exciting, young coach that I am so pumped to have for us. He brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our club and has already begun placing his stamp on the team. That hunger and passion really stands out and is what we were looking for and hoping for in our new coach. I could not think of a better coach to lead the team forward as we continue to develop our young players and improve our club going into Spring Season.” Welcome and Go Bengals!
